Yes, this is intentionally taking advantage of the fact that tons of people will be Googling those search phrases, thanks to XKCD's latest comic (as of this writing).
So... not much to say. I'm at my dad's right now, watching the children (no school and both he and the evil stepmother have to work, and Taylor is hanging out at my aunt Kim's place with her kids).
I was actually kind of expecting something like this, tons of non sequitur results that take advantage of this XKCD boost. Well played, Artemis, well played...
I remember how last time he did something like this on XKCD, I immediately went to the Google and found a few new blogs just from the fact that they took advantage of whatever phrase he'd used (I think it was "I really enjoyed" some movie) :)
So, thanks Odd1; I agree, KJ; Ondrej- I'm not sure. Do you remember Googling anything odd?
I did expected "this" to be "this". just wanted to make you wonder why is it so important for you to get "hits"? do you think that anyone arriving here is interested in your boring life?
abba, next time you comment I would enjoy it if you did so in a manner I could easily understand. Your sentence structure confuses me. Sorry if English is your second language; if it is, then disregard. You just did better in English than I could ever do in Spanish or something. :)
It isn't very important for me to get hits, and I don't even think that anyone particularly cares about my generally boring life. Posting this was more for personal amusement than an attempt to gain regular readers. I couldn't care less about readership. It makes me smile when someone comments with something humorous or supportive, of course, but that's not my goal.
My goal is to provide myself with a place to vent, rant, and rave when there's no other place for me to do so. Hopefully, in many years, this service will still be around and I will be able to look back and go, "I remember this! And this! Oh, how ridiculous I was back then. What I didn't know!" This is like a journal (that I won't misplace) with the occasional anonymous commentary.
And yes, I do approve all non-spam comments. "ohhhh"?
Late to the party with a search for "naked pooh sticks." And if you're interested, it's because It was once written by someone on Twitter either being Hugh Grant or pretending to be Hugh Grant. Oh this tangled Web.
OK, I'm a sucker. I googled "strip poohsticks."
ReplyDeleteGuilty as one of the people who found this post simply via XKCD *sigh*
